Founder – Krafty Momo

I am Annpurna and I am the founder of Krafty Momo.

Krafty Momo is not just a restaurant, it is the my passion and dream.

My love for traditional cooking, hosting family and friends, serving them delicious food is a driving force for my innovative Krafty Momo recepies.

A blind person cooking is something that many people think is not possible. There is a lack of awareness about it. My journey to become a cook was full of challenges. But at every step, I sometimes faced challenges and sometimes success which shaped my journey.

I completed my schooling from National Association for the Blinds, New Delhi where I was always taught to do work independently. Teachers play an important role in shaping the lives of their student. For me my teacher Madhu Mishra ma’am was the one who helped me a lot in learning some basic cooking skills. This became one of the reason how I started thinking that I can also be an independent cook.

For four years, 2019 to 2022, I got an opportunity to participate in Golden Eye Chef contest- an international cooking competition for visually challenged.

I worked with Bluepine Foods founded by Masterchef Aditi Madan ma’am, which was a great learning experience for me to get to know more about the food industry.

I have also been fortunate to have Akhil Srivastava sir, founder of Golden Eye Chef competition, as my mentor who always guided, motivated me. He played a significant role in foundation of the Krafty momo.

The journey has been long and full of ups and downs. But setting up Krafty Momo is not the end of the journey. It is a starting point of my dream. And I don’t want it to be my dream alone. Any visually impaired person who are passionate about cooking and come and be a part of Krafty Momo family too.
